About Us
Here are some facts about PPP:
- We began in 2007
- PPP became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization as identified by the IRS in January 2013
- Our main event is the PPP volleyball game at Skyview each October during breast cancer awareness month…
- We have a few other annual events as well…
- A Bobcat Women’s Basketball game in Bozeman in February each year –
- An annual golf tourney each July – Pack the Green in Pink
- An annual Billings Bulls hockey game – Pack the Rink in Pink (this year’s event is on October 29) – also sponsored by Billings Clinic
- A fashion show with breast cancer survivors as the models at Rimrock Mall – Pack the Mall in Pink (this year’s event is on Oct. 15) – also sponsored by Billings Clinic
- A Bobcat Women’s Basketball game in Bozeman in February each year –
- Also, annually about 12-20 other high schools around the state host Pack the Place in Pink volleyball games and send their proceeds to PPP
- All of these events together netted over $70,000 last year (2015)… $55,000 of that coming from the Skyview event alone
- We have an official PPP board of 5 people – Vicki Carle, Tracy Kangas, Julie Schaaf, Susy Paddock, Bridgett Paddock but during pink season (end of September and October), we have hundreds of people helping do all things PINK related!
- We typically order 10,000 pink t-shirts each year...and the first year we ordered 200!
- We call the money we give to our recipients battling breast cancer a “pink financial hug”!
- We call our pink season – THE PINK TORNADO!
