PACK THE PLACE IN PINK

It's All About the Pink
Pack the Place in Pink COVID Response:

Man! This whole COVID situation is tough...I’ve been using the word “sucky” and have also referred to it as comprising everything and nothing. I feel like we are all doing everything (all at once) and yet at the same time it feels like nothing is getting done. So much is the same and so much is absolutely, totally different.

There are so many big questions during all of this. One of the ones we’ve been grappling with for PPP: what does a not-for-profit look like during a pandemic? We can’t just move forward with blinders on and continue as though nothing has changed, but it’s not like cancer is sheltering in place. Women are still fighting breast cancer. We are still getting referrals for Pink Hugs.

To that end, we are still here for you as best we can be. Do we know exactly what PPP will look like during this next year? No. Will we continue in some way, shape, or form? Yes. As I continue telling my colleagues and students: do what you can with what you have. At Pack the Place in Pink, we will continue just that. We will do what we can for those battling breast cancer in Montana using the resources we have.

We are here for all of you. We hope everyone is staying safe during all of this. Pink hugs from Pack the Place in Pink!

Here is a message from Vicki (PPP President):

Just want everyone to know that Pack the Place in Pink is still up and running.  With my retirement, I will  continue to promote PPP and our charity will continue to grow. I have more time now and am planning to promote more PINK  throughout the state. I will always welcome new ideas and suggestions to help our charity.  Feel free to share any thoughts and ideas you may have.

Enough about me.  Unfortunately, COVID-19 is not sheltering and we have referrals coming in every day. We will continue to support women, financially,  across Montana until our funds run dry.

Like so many others, we are in a holding pattern for sponsorships and fundraising.  Once this situation passes, we will be looking for sponsorships and we will be fundraising for Montana women.  Breast cancer doesn’t take a break nor does it discriminate.

Stay strong.  God Bless You All.

Pack the Place in Pink’s ability to continue to operate is due in large part to the generous support of individual donors who believe in our mission, as well as gifts from businesses and corporations (both monetary and in-kind). Ninety-five percent of the net proceeds from Pack the Place in Pink events go directly to breast cancer patients and the other 5% is used for supplies, stamps, insurance, accounting, and miscellaneous expenses.
